Our Story

  I noticed I had some talent in the kitchen from a very young age,  properly around my 12 years old. My mom was not the best cook but my grandmother was like all grandmothers, “kitchen experts”.

She was making the best polenta in the world and today I still have the taste in my mouth.

Today I just realised my favourite dishes were the only food some Italian migrants had to eat after the first and Second World War and Italian industrial revolution. It became a Italian tradition to eat polenta. 

After the first and second world war plus the Italian industrial revolution many Europeans left Europe and migrated to North and South America and my family was one of them.

I had this privilege to be born on a farm with a big family where all my family was together every weekend in my grandparents home, where we cooked and ate a lot of food. It’s were unforgettable times where we were very innocent, playing in the florest, summing in the lakes, riding bicycles and playing with lots of creative toys made by us most of the time. 

Today I feel sorry for my children because they will not know how good my childhood was. Today we leave in very scare world where our children cannot really play outside, the technologies is damage them, today they don’t know what is leaving in free world where they can run without us parents have to worries where they are, play with the animals, create their own toys, hunt, play with tree vine, and lot more.

From this abundance of rich food culture I have been passionate to cook and for me cooking is not a job is a hobby, I do it for the love I have from my Italian culture and today I have the opportunity to let others enjoy a good time I had. 

Today Zilli’s one again from the della community of Ponte Nelle Alpi, Province of Belluno region Veneto are spreading our culture here in the heart of Deeping St James Lincolnshire.

From the polenta tradition, today Zilli has the luxury of Italian food served in a lot of English homes for a very affordable price not just for the wealthy but for everyone. I believe today we live in a much better world than before, where before people were fighting without knowing the reason.

 I would like to thank you for all the veterans who sacrificed their lives, for us to be able to live in this very comfortable world.

 I would like to thank you to the Queen, prime minister, parlament, the Army, nacional security, police, fire department and HNS to protect our family, our home and administrate this country.
